My name is Siren or ~+Syn~ for short, but I tend to go by a lot of names:Siren Star, Dj ~+Syn~, Starla Star, Star, Orange Cupcake, and Rainbow Brite. Sometimes I get bored easily with usernames, profiles, layouts, etc., so I tend to change them a lot, that’s why I go by so many names. Sometimes I update my journal a lot and other times it takes me days or
weeks. I always have something to write about, but I don't always have enough time.

I am half “raver” chick and half “goth” chick, if I have to label myself. It just all depends on my mood. I love to dance and go to raves and goth clubs. I don’t go out too much anymore but when I do I have fun and enjoy myself. I’m kind of glad I don’t go out much because I get sick of being around all the club drama.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Art with a concentration in Photography and Film. And minors in Theatre - concentration Costume Design and Creative Writing. I also have an Associate’s degree in Music Business and Audio Recording.

My dream is to work in the film industry. I want to get my MFA in either Filmmaking or Screenwriting. Last summer I was accepted to the American Film Institute Conservatory in Hollywood and the New York Film Academy in Universal Studios Hollywood for the MFA.

But tuition was very expensive and there was little financial help, plus the move to Los Angeles, so I am now saving up and will get there soon.

I am currently a graduate student working on my MBA. It isn’t fun, but I could afford the program and figured a Business degree could also help me in the film industry. After my MBA and MFA, I plan to eventually work on a Ph.D degree, probably in Visual Studies. I know, I’m crazy.

I love my partner in crime, Johnny Midnight, and our two beautiful children.

I love to create. I love to write. I love film and black and white photography. I also love the theatre and the stage. I love to design clothing and costumes. My life is dedicated to the arts and working with talented people. I also love to teach and have been teaching inner city youth photography.
